Dear Robin and Jennifer,

I hope you both are doing well during all of this craziness.

Please accept my very tardy email to you… life got a little crazy after our wedding last August plus, I think I was in slight denial that it was all over!

I came into your boutique about this time last year, with a dress I bought online. It was far too long and basically after one quick glance from your expert eyes… it would need to be completely taken apart. Yikes.

You had a few pre-EOFY sale dresses in the back and offered to show them to me.

I really grappled with my dress buying journey. I’m petite so it was always a challenge to envision what the dress would look like, less 15 clips and 3 feet shorter. Also, my mom and closest friends are back in Canada.

I really didn’t want the emphasis of our wedding to be on a dress nor did I want to spend a fortune for something I’d wear once. Not your ideal client I’m sure!

I had been shopping with family and friends during a trip back home to Canada, been to a number of showroom sales in Sydney, tried vintage/second hand and scoured online. It was all getting pretty exhausting!

The second dress I tried… I loved! It needed some alterations but I couldn’t believe the luck. I returned only for one fitting and that was it! High slit on point!

Well, getting it home, I quickly decided it needed some extra oomph (drama not design). You very quickly crafted a dreamy overskirt. Then, that was it!

Thank you so very much for your patience with me. And, for quickly advising my online purchase was not ideal haha!

I absolutely LOVED the dress as if it had been crafted just for me. So comfortable, the perfect beachside chic ensemble. It was breezy, whimsical, classy, sexy. The overskirt; so fun and bouncy. It was unbuttoned for a fab reveal during our first (choreographed) dance.

I’ve included some images that you are very welcome to use. Mostly glamour shots but also shared a bit of our day and night 😄

Firstly, thank you so so so much for the amazingly beautiful wedding dress that you designed and made for me. It was absolutely perfect and looked so beautiful on the day and was better than I could have ever imagined.

I always said I would never get my wedding dress made because I couldn’t not know exactly what it would look like, or if it would fit right, but you both made the experience so easy and not scary at all with your kindness and willingness to explain every tiny thing to me – and my entorague!!!

Hello Robyn and Jenny,

We had such a wonderful time celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary!

As promised, attached are photos of my wedding dress  made at the Glenmore Road shop in 1985 and in it’s new style in 2015. Along the way, not only have I shared 30 years with a wonderful husband  but a great son came into our lives.  I also have a photo of the dress you made when I was matron of honour for my cousin in 1998. My kelpie, Billy, is very curious!

You have always made beautiful dresses for the most important days in my life and I look forward to a new Nelder-Jones dress to wear to my son’s wedding to his beautiful fiancee in August 2016.
